Japanese vacation rental management provider H2O Hospitality has raised over $30 million in a Series C funding round from Kakao Investment and the state-run Korea Development Bank (KDB), according to an announcement. Other investors including Gorilla PE, Intervest, NICE Investment, and the Kejora-Intervest Growth Fund also took part in the round, aimed at accelerating H2O Hospitality’s expansion in Southeast Asia. This year, it acquired the contactless hotel solution company, ‘ImGATE,’ and a local creator startup, ‘Replace,’ to enhance technology and ESG competence. “With the cloud communications landscape still at an early stage, we see enormous potential for Toku to grow its base of loyal customers and further extend its regional leadership. With digital transformation and global competitiveness at the forefront of the corporate agenda for Asia Pacific in the coming years, Toku remains focused on strengthening and expanding its cloud connectivity across the region.
