BC Cleantech Gets $6.7 Million In SDTC Funding

All 10 projects have received funding and support from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), which helps Canadian entrepreneurs accelerate the development and deployment of globally competitive clean technology solutions. CryoLogistics has developed an insulated container that uses liquid carbon dioxide as a natural refrigerant for shipping pallet loads of high-value temperature-sensitive food and biopharma products through the global supply chain. Click Materials is developing a next-generation electrochromic window solution for the residential, commercial and automotive markets that offers dramatic cost reductions, unique performance benefits and significant energy savings while improving human wellness. The Vancouver smart glass developer recently announced a partnership with Cardinal Glass, a top producer of premium windows, to bring their smart window solution to the homes of millions across North America. Investments in clean technologies are part of the Government’s Innovation and Skills Plan, a multi-year strategy to position Canada as a global leader in innovations that lead to less pollution, healthier communities and the creation of good middle-class jobs.
