Cloudtenna Raises $4M in Seed Funding

Cloudtenna , a Sunnyvale, CA-based software startup that addresses the problem of file sprawl, raised $4m in seed funding.The round was led by Blazar Ventures with participation from Citrix.Founded by Bryan Pham and Aaron Ganek, Cloudtenna aims to solve enterprise file search problem with DirectSearch, a new tool that finds files across on-premise repositories, cloud file storage services, and hosted/online applications in 400-600 milliseconds.DirectSearch uses machine learning intelligence, natural language processing, and automation to build the search engine whose key features include a single search tool that scans local and network drives; services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box; and SaaS platforms like Slack, ShareFile, and Salesforce; and learns from relevance, context, and user behavior to continuously improve search results and rankings.Nearly 30 beta customers, including universities, online businesses, and large enterprises, currently use DirectSearch.
