UK-based fashion software startup Unmade secures £4.75 million in round led by Octopus Ventures

Summary

London-based fashion software company Unmade has scored £4.75 million in seed funding in a round led by Octopus Ventures and joined by MMC Ventures, Felix Capital and prior backers. Unmade was founded by Hal Watts, Kirsty Emery and Ben Alun-Jones in 2014 in an effort to completely reimagine the design and manufacturing processes within the fashion industry. The startup says it offers an end-to-end digital solution for on-demand production at scale, delivering customisation, team-wear and micro-fulfilment. Its technology currently enables print customisation alongside its knitwear solution. Zoe Chambers from Octopus Ventures commented on the round: “With fashion brands and consumers increasingly conscious of wastage and un-sold stock arising from mass production and mass consumption in the fashion industry, Unmade is showing itself to be a pioneer, delivering much-needed disruption in the industry by using technology to offer demand-driven manufacturing.”
