AR sports tech firm Quintar sets eyes on Apple Vision Pro after US$8.2m Series A round

Augmented reality (AR) specialist Quintar has raised US$8.2 million in a Series A investment round led by sports technology venture capital firm SeventySix Capital and Crowles Company. Existing investors SeventySix Capital and Crowles Company also led seed round in 2021Quintar is the official mobile AR developer of the PGA Tour, which is also a minority stakeholder in the business. Its technology was used in the PGA Tour Apple Vision Pro application, for which Quintar plans to expand support for as part of its drive into spatial computing.Centre Courts investment is one of its first since raising US$42 million to invest in Indian sports technology and video game startups.Quintar was one of SportsPros sports tech Ideas to Invest in Now class of 2022.This is an exciting time in the world of mixed reality with the advancements in spatial computing and new devices like Apple Vision Pro and [Meta] Quest 3 driving momentum and interest in the space, said Quintar co-founder and CEO Sankar Jayaram.
