Sentera Raises Additional $14M in Series A Funding

Sentera , a Minneapolis-based digital agriculture technology provider, raised an additional $14m in Series A funding.Backers included S2G Ventures, Continental Grain Company, and Middleland Capital.Founded in 2014 by Eric Taipale, CEO, Sentera is a supplier of integrated remote sensing, analytics, and IoT solutions to the digital agriculture marketplace.The company’s sensors and AI technology allow users to detect nutrition, disease, and plant status issues, in applications ranging from corn and soybeans to vegetables, fruit, and nuts.Deep learning and advanced computer vision algorithms integrate with mobile, sensor, and cloud components to deliver immediate insights to growers, agronomists, and operators.
