Vinci Games announced successful closing of its seed funding round, raising $5.1 million

Vinci Games, a San Francisco-based virtual reality (VR) game studio, has announced the successful closing of its seed funding round, raising $5.1 million. Makers Fund led the round, with participation from Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Pioneer Fund, Anorak Ventures, BonAngels, and Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin.The funding will be utilized for the development of Vinci Games first game, Blacktop Hoops, a competitive, socially driven VR basketball experience. The game is set to offer a new and immersive way of playing basketball, leveraging the latest advancements in VR technology.Blacktop Hoops features intuitive dribbling, dunking, and shooting basketball mechanics, specifically designed for VR.
