V5 Systems Closes Series A2 $12M Funding Round

V5 Systems, a Fremont, Calif.-based provider of self-powered computing and security platforms for the outdoors, closed its Series A2 round of $12m.Backers were not disclosed.The round brought total funding raised to date to over $20m.Mazin Bedwan, President & Chief Operating Officer, Steve Yung, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, and Eddie Bedwan, Executive VP of Global Support & Operations, V5 provides a technology platform leveraging self-powered units which enable edge computing and artificial intelligence in the outdoors with devices customizable to include sensors that enable it to see, hear, and smell.To maximize the adoption of its technology and compete on a global scale, the company is establishing strategic partnerships with such companies as Dell EMC, Axis Communications, Intel, Foxlink, Nvidia, T Systems, Oracle, Arrow and VMware.
