KIN, a Santa Monica, CA-based global digital media company for lifestyle creators, closed a $12m Series C round of funding.The company intends to use the funds for talent acquisition and expansion of its advertising sales team, original programming and new business development opportunities.Founded in 2007 by Michael Wayne, CEO, KIN operates a lifestyle network on YouTube, which delivers female-focused video content across verticals including food, health, beauty, parenting, home and entertainment.In addition, its KIN Community incubates new online video talent and produces custom content programs with major brand advertisers.Other KIN brands include Rosanna Pansino, Wayne Goss, The Ellen Show, Byron Talbot and the Emmy Award winning series the Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
